What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember information about you between requests (e.g. that you are signed in). Some cookies are set by the site you visit (first-party); others are set by third parties whose code runs on the site.
Cookies we use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Category | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
authToken | QuantMyStocks | Stores your signed-in session JWT. Without it the site cannot keep you logged in. | Strictly necessary | 10 hours |
selectedBackend | QuantMyStocks | Admin-only: remembers which data schema (production/staging) the dashboard is viewing. | Strictly necessary (admin) | Session |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot management and abuse detection. | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes |
g_state | Tracks Google sign-in dialog state across navigations. | Strictly necessary (sign-in) | Up to 1 year |
We do not currently use analytics, marketing, or advertising cookies. If we introduce them, we will update this page and obtain your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
Strictly necessary vs. optional
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to function (sign-in, security, abuse protection). Under the EU ePrivacy Directive these do not require your consent. Optional cookies (analytics, marketing) require your explicit consent before being set. If we add any, an in-product banner will let you accept, reject, or fine-tune categories.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies (notably authToken) will make you unable to sign in or use the Service.
Most browsers offer per-site cookie controls under Settings → Privacy / Site permissions.
Changes
When we add, remove, or change cookies in a material way, we will update this page's version and effective date.
