Dell's +10.4% week was the cleanest move across the entire dataset — jumping two spots to #3 in the S&P 500 on the back of an AI infrastructure contract win at Texas A&M's IGNITE platform.

NASDAQ-100 / S&P 500

The top four slots in both indexes are a memory and storage trade. MU (+8.5%), WDC (+8.9%), and STX (+8.1%) all ran hard on AI infrastructure demand — the same narrative that's driven this group for months. SNDK held the #1 rank in both indexes but posted the softest gain of the bunch at +6.0%, and it had a rough mid-week: headlines flagged an 11% single-day drop on July 24 before it recovered. The analysts can't agree on it either — one headline cited price targets set $1,430 apart. That's not a valuation debate, that's a coin flip.

Dell is the more interesting development. It's been in the S&P 500 top five but moved up two ranks this week and posted the biggest weekly gain of any name across both large-cap lists. AI server demand and the A&M deal are doing the work. Lumentum (LITE) held #5 in the NDX at +4.1%, benefiting from the same Big Tech capex tailwind.

S&P 400 (Mid Cap)

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals (ARWR) was the standout: up +15.2% and jumping three ranks to #2 after strong data on its triglyceride drug plozasiran. Analysts lifted price targets and called it the "best-case scenario." ROIV slipped two spots despite a small +1.5% gain — it just got outrun. DigitalOcean (DOCN) is still in the top five after what headlines describe as a 356% twelve-month run; earnings on Aug. 4 will be the real test of whether that momentum holds.

S&P 600 (Small Cap)

The small-cap list is messier than the large-cap ones. Three of the five leaders posted negative weekly returns — RSI down 3.3%, ECPG down 1.3%, ATEN down 4.7%. Liquidia (LQDA) was the exception at +7.9%, driven by a PAH drug patent debate. When the "momentum leaders" are mostly red on the week, the group is coasting on prior-period scores rather than fresh price action. Worth watching whether BTSG (+3.1%, holding #1) can keep pace as earnings approach.
